04. Do you identify as a part of the “otherkin”, or, “therian” community? What communities do you identify with?
Erm... I dunno. I have mixed feelings about it, to be honest. I mean, I do identify with the label of Otherkin, but sometimes I think that's just because I'm a Virgo and I obsessively organize things, so everything must be labeled. But as a whole, I really don't like the Otherkin community. Never really been involved with the therian community. And I just noticed how weird it is that I capitalize one and not the other. I guess because I see Otherkin as a title and therian as a description? I dunno. Anyway. I guess I don't really identify with any community. Maybe I will once I settle more on my own spirituality, or if I ever figure out where my kinside comes from. I have an idea, but it's certainly not any of the top three (reincarnation, misincarnation, psychological) so it's kinda hard to talk with people about it without sounding, y'know, mental.
Which is probably a little ironic, because Otherkin.
(Yes, I'm fully aware that we all sound mental. Occupational hazard, I suppose.)
