I've told a few people. My best friend, another friend, my best friend's wife (that one I regret -- she took it well enough, but I dislike her enough now that I really wish she didn't have such personal information about me). I also told the therapist I'd been seeing before I moved. She thought it was fascinating. I was going to tell my other best friend, but when I brought up the subject, she went on a rant about how fucking insane people are if they think they're actually faeries and elves and animals and shit. To which I'm all, "Hello, double standard" because she's told me that she's seen a faerie and met a woman who she "would swear was actually a faerie" ... Yeah, she was probably Otherkin, you ass. I love her, but she's more narrow-minded than my fundamentalist Christian parents.
Anyway.
I'm also out online. I have no issue posting to blogs about being 'kin, whether it's an Otherkin blog or not. I don't post about it on Tumblr anymore, but I have in the past.
So basically, I'm out on the internet and semi-out in real life.
